Joy Interface for the Line/Mic Input of the soundcard
It has never been cheaper to use FMS with Win2000/XP.
6 Channel and 10 Button support!!!
PPM and PCM support
Very easy solution
All you need is:
- The correct smartpropo
- FutabaPCM + FutabaPPM + JrPCM + JrPPM
1x Connector to your student system
1x 3.5mm mono-jack
1x 10kOhm resistor
1x soldering iron and soldering tin.
2m diode-cable
After we have arranges all components and the heated soldering iron on our workplace we can start.
At first we strip both ends of the mono cable. This must be done very accurately to make sure that there is no contact between the leads and the shielding. Then the leads must be tin-coated.
Now solder the mono jack to the cable in the following way:

Lead – inner soldering tag (Tip)
Shielding – outer soldering tag (outer ring)
Now close the housing of the jack-connector
Now we can prepare the plug to the student system of your radio. The layout for some radio types can be found in the picture below.

At last connect the resistor between signal and shielding of the plug. Then carefully close the housing of the plug.

After everything is connected to your PC, open the sound mixer (can be found in the system task bar near the clock).
Select “Line in – Mute” and then “Options – Properties”

Now go to “Volume for > Recording” and under “Show Volume Controls” select “Line in” or “Micro” (depending on which input you will use). Then click “OK”.

Now we will find out if your work was successful: Switch on the radio.
Put the slider for the recording volume to maximum ( this can vary for different systems, please try to find a sufficient setting for your PC. You can use the Audio-Recorder to display the wave form).

Now copy the winmm.dll into the folder of your FMS and start the FMS.
In the register “Controls” select “Analogue Control”.

In the “Properties” you can see if FMS has loaded the driver (winmm.dll).
Go to “Calibration” to calibrate and configure your radio.

Driver loaded ....

The complete use is on your own risk !!
