Workshops Metasequoia Workshop Part 6: The Landing Gear

Part 6: The Landing Gear

E-mail Print PDF

Metasequoia Workshop Part 6.

The Landing Gear

We take a cylinder, downscale it on all axis and then upscale it on the Y-Axis. It should look like this now:

We mark the cylinder and rotate it around the Z-Axis. Then we move it on the X-Axis until the upper points touch the Z-Axis.

We cut the cylinder near the lower end, mark the lowest points and move them upwards.

Now we add the wheels:

1. File

2. Insert

3. Choose file

Now we have the wheel in our model.

This wheels we downscale until they have the correct size and move them to their position.

Now we mark everything and copy it. The new object we name "Tailwheel". We mark the upper points in our new object and move them on the X-Axis until the are alligned with the lower points. Mark all points of the tail-wheel and rotate them around the X-Axis.

Mark the complete Landing gear (without the tail-wheel) and click on "mirror" under "selected", then click "OK"

We adapt the landing gear and the tail-wheel for our model.

If you like your model like it is, you are finished.

Congratulations!!
